Spend the day relaxing and deep sea fishing off of the beautiful Island of Hawaii as our experienced Kona sport fishing crew guide you on an exciting day of fishing for Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Shortnosed Spearfish, Ahi, Mahi Mahi, and Ono.
For your Kona charter fishing party, we provide tournament quality Melton and Shimano tackle, ice, and a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain with a professional deckhand.

A fishing license or fishing experience is not required.

The Captain
Captain Greg “Stretch” Fogarty
Captain Stretch started fishing at a very young age. He grew up fishing the inshore and offshore waters in Southern California, and then moved to Colorado where he took up fly fishing.
Captain Stretch started fishing Kona in the year 2000, and moved here full-time in 2014. He ran the deck on the Hula Girl for 3 years, then took over the helm in 2017. In 2021 he began running the Xtreme Dream.
Captain Stretch is very passionate about the fishery in Kona, and especially its Blue Marlin.

Hula Girl Sport Fishing charters operate out of beautiful Honokohau Harbor, on the leeward side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Kona is world famous for 1,000+ pound Pacific Blue Marlin. Catches of Yellow Fin Tuna (Ahi 10-200 pounds), Wahoo (Ono 20-80 pounds), Dorado (Mahi Mahi 10-60 pounds), Striped Marlin (50-150 pounds), and Short-nose Spearfish (20-60 pounds) are common.

Built in 1993 and completely renovated in 2008 at Michael Rybovich & Sons yard, she has the classic lines that you’d expect from a world class boat builder. Meticulously cared for through the years here in Kona and a big fish producing machine. Fast and comfortable along with a fully equipped air conditioned galley and salon.
